The film “Go Meet the World in Gothenburg” which shows Gothenburg as a destination has won several awards around the world this year. Now it’s time again – at the most prestigious festival of them all – the Grand Prix CIFFT Tourism Film Festival 2011 in Vienna.
The Gothenburg film, selected among 1,400 films, gets a mention only given to a handful of films each year at the festival.
- We are extremely pleased and proud to be one of the selected films at the festival. This means that our film is one of the six most mentioned in the world, says Stefan Gadd, Media Director at Göteborg & Co who has been active in the development of the film.
The award for best tourism film of the year goes to Mexico and the award ceremony will be held November 11th in Vienna.
The purpose of the film is to market Gothenburg as a destination. The film was completed last year and displays the archipelago, the food, entertainment and cultural life in the city as well as the people who live here. Producer is Janolof Fritze.
